While I was changing his diaper he tightly held my kada (thick bangle)… I thought he liked it, so I took it out of my hand and gave him to play withit while I went to grab cream for him…
He held it tightly till I wasn’t there…
But as soon as he saw me he dropped it as though he was least bothered about it… He didn’t care about its design or what it was made up of… All that mattered to him was that it belonged to me…that’s why it was only special while it was in my wrist or while I was gone (as a memory of me)…
Then I had an “Aha Moment” THAT is what Loving someone for the sake of Allah means…
You don’t care about their education or career or where they came from or what benefit you can get out of them…
You love them because they belong to Allah!
You love them because they are slaves of Allah!
Too often we forget what it really means when we say “I love you for the sake of Allah.”
It was a beautiful Aha Moment for me 🙂 alhamdulillah
